FAQ

How long does it take to learn crochet?

Most beginners complete Lesson 1 (Your First Stitches) in 30-45 minutes. The full 10-lesson course takes about 7-10 hours spread across multiple sessions.

What supplies do I need to start?

A 5mm crochet hook and one ball of worsted weight yarn. That's it for the first 4 lessons. Lessons 9-10 also need safety eyes and polyfill stuffing.

Is crochet easier than knitting?

Many find crochet easier to start because you only use one hook (vs two needles) and dropped stitches are easier to fix. Both are rewarding once you get the basics!

What should I crochet first?

Start with Lesson 1 — you'll make a simple flat square swatch. After 4 lessons you can make your first coaster. After 10 lessons, a teddy bear!
